That Vivo is emerging as India’s number-1 5G smartphone brand in the third quarter of 2021. This has been revealed from the data for the third quarter of the year 2021 of CMR’s India Mobile Handset Market Review Report. During this, more than 20 5G-capable smartphones were launched in India. The market share of 5G phones in the total smartphone shipments in the third quarter of 2021 was around 22 per cent.
OnePlus, Oppo, Realme, Samsung and Vivo brands have seen the highest shipments of 5G smartphones in India. According to Shipra Singha, Analyst, Industry Intelligence Group, CMR, then consumers are demanding for pasture-proof 5G smartphones, due to which the demand for 5G smartphones is registering an increase. These 5 brands together have shipped 5G smartphones worth $3 billion in the third quarter of 2021. In the third quarter of the year, the demand for 5G smartphones has registered a growth of 47 percent.
